ISG members at No Kings in Worcester, MA (October 17, 2026)
by Dylan Valencia
Boston, MA
ISG members voted to endorse independent left candidate Andrea James for governor of Massachusetts, who is running against current Democratic Party governor Maura Healey in November 2026.
ISG members helped collect the 10,000 verified signatures needed to get James onto the ballot. We organized leafleting and tabling at various events, and joined marches in support of the campaign, including Boston Pride, Bridgewater Pride, and Andrea James campaign events. We collected signatures outside grocery stores, public transit stops, and farmers markets in other working-class areas in the state, including Quincy, Boston, Worcester, Brockton, Malden, Brookline, Bridgewater, Middleboro, Plymouth, Randolph, and Cambridge. Members also joined standouts in Randolph and Mattapan with other Andrea James campaign supporters to help raise awareness about the independent campaign and its demands for ICE out of MA, universal childcare, rent control, etc. ISG supports independent left and progressive electoral campaigns with strong demands that have the potential to help unite and organize working-class people, which can help win much more than the corporate duopoly ever can.
